ModernApp Labs · Windows App Studio
We use the raw power of WinUI 3 to build high-performance Windows applications with entirely custom interfaces — going far beyond what default Fluent controls allow.
Our mission
Windows has incredible power under the hood — but standard Fluent controls only go so far. ModernApp Labs exists to build what's next. We take the high-performance engine of WinUI 3 and build completely custom, non-Fluent interfaces on top of it.
Whether it's a minimalist aesthetic or a completely bespoke canvas, we override default templates to prove that native Windows apps don't have to look like default Windows apps.

From strict Fluent adherence to deeply custom architectural designs — examples of what's possible on the Windows platform.
Built with perfect adherence to Windows 11 guidelines. Utilizes standard Mica materials and native API integrations — the platform at its purest.
⊞ Microsoft Store ›A complete override of default ControlTemplates. Advanced image processing wrapped in a bespoke, non-Fluent shell built from scratch.
⊞ Microsoft Store ›Bending the WinUI 3 framework to build an interactive 2D canvas — free-form drag, custom hit testing, and a UI that has no Fluent equivalent.

We go deep on the Windows platform — using native tools to build entirely custom experiences, not cross-platform compromises.
Why hire us
We build on Microsoft's modern UI framework — not wrappers, not Electron. Native performance, native integrations, native everything.
We override control templates and craft layouts that go beyond what the design system allows. The result looks like nothing else on Windows.
Lightweight and responsive. We optimize render paths and keep resource footprint minimal — no unnecessary overhead.
No telemetry beyond OS requirements. Your data stays on your machine. That's not a feature — it's the baseline.
Open for work
I build high-performance Windows applications powered by WinUI 3, tailored UI components, and a sharp eye for boundary-pushing design. Let's build something great together.
