Privacy & Terms

This Privacy Policy applies to every application published by ModernApp Labs on the Microsoft Store, including but not limited to ModernHEIC Converter, ModernPDF Merger, ModernWebP Converter, ModernICO Converter, ModernMedia Converter, Sticky Notes Studio, ToDo Timer, and ModernPaste Clipboard, as well as any future applications we release (collectively, the "Apps").

All of our Apps process your files locally on your device. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, and ModernApp Labs does not have access to your personal files, images, documents, or their content.

We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) through the Apps themselves. Any communication via support or feedback forms is used strictly to resolve your specific request and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

All purchases, including one-time purchases and any ModernApp Pass subscription, are processed entirely by Microsoft through the Microsoft Store. ModernApp Labs never receives, stores, or has access to your payment card details, billing address, or Microsoft account credentials. Purchase and refund handling is governed by Microsoft's own policies.

Standard anonymous usage data (such as crash reports and basic installation metrics) may be collected by Microsoft as part of the Microsoft Store's ecosystem. This helps us improve application stability and performance. This telemetry is governed by Microsoft's privacy policies, not ours.

These Terms of Service apply to all applications published by ModernApp Labs (the "Apps"), which are distributed exclusively through the Microsoft Store. By downloading, installing, or using any ModernApp Labs application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms (SALT).

The Apps are available solely via the Microsoft Store. Microsoft acts as the merchant of record for all purchases, subscriptions, and refunds. We do not sell, license, or distribute the Apps through any other channel, and any copy obtained outside the Microsoft Store is not sanctioned or supported by us.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale, ModernApp Labs grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Apps on devices you own or control. This license is for your personal or internal business use only.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or attempt to derive the source code of any App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rent the Apps outside of the Microsoft Store's own sharing mechanisms (such as Family Sharing, where supported).

Your use of the Apps is also governed by the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms (SALT) and the Microsoft Store Terms of Use, which take precedence over any conflicting provision in these Terms with respect to your use of the Microsoft Store platform, billing, and refunds.

The Apps are provided strictly "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Apps will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. ModernApp Labs does not guarantee that any App will meet your requirements or that any defects will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ModernApp Labs and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, files, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, any App — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to an App will not exceed the amount you paid for that App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms and our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Apps, legal requirements, or Microsoft Store policies. Continued use of any App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
